Happy Chanukah!
by Rhonda Sofer - Wednesday, 17 December 2014, 9:12 AM

To our DOIT members who celebrate Hanukah --HAPPY HOLIDAY!!  Hanukah is an eight day holiday commemorating the  rededication of the Jewish Second Temple in Jerusalem during the second century BCE in the Maccabean revolt against the Greek Empire which was ruling this region.

Today is the first day of Hanukah--last night we lit the first candle of the holiday.

First of all, thanks to all those who have congratulated us. In the Jewish tradition, we believe that a little light can erase a lot of darkness. Let's hope that DOIT is such a little light in this days were hatery and fanatics bring so much darkness to the civilized world. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in Israel in 2015 ! Although there is exactly one week before Christmas, I would like to wish all our Christian friends Happy Christmas, health and happiness with your dear ones. All the best, Roxana
